This is a very simple introduction to Archangels, which relates to my own limited experience. I have included further reading in the further support and information section of the website though, as I believe it is important to appreciate magnitude of their helping us and to have an understanding of them. I am still amazed and humbled that these powerful and wondrous beings have found a way to reach and help me. Archangel Michael reached me through the words of support on his card in Doreen Virtue’s ‘Messages from the Angels’ deck. I didn’t know anything else about him, but his letting me know I was not alone when I felt totally touched my heart. I think it is important that I provide something similarly direct here.
Archangels are one of the levels of angels in God’s hierarchy of angels. Whilst they are not placed the highest in that hierarchy, they are powerful and closest to God of the angels who look after us. The Archangels have been with us throughout history – most of us remember Archangel Gabrielle communicating the news to Mary and Elizabeth that they were to give birth to Jesus and John the Baptist.
According to what I have read, each Archangel has a particular area of need assigned to them. It has been a real comfort to me to know to ask Archangel Raphael, the Angel of Healing, to look after those around me in poor health, for example. So I have tried to set out this introduction in a way that is easy to identify which one to ask for help with what. I will take this a step further with my ‘Say a Prayer ’ section on the website, one it is up and running, which will hopefully be in the next week or two. This section allows you to put two initials on a page allocated to each of the 5 Archangels that have particularly reached me. The idea is that you say a prayer for that person as you add their details, and then I will also ask the relevant Archangel to be there for them when I say my own prayers each night. That way the angels will potentially have two bridges of light to travel on to reach that person.
