Archangel Raphael is most often associated by spiritual writers as the Healing Angel. He is often pictured wearing or surrounded by the gentle colour green.
I often ask Archangel Raphael for healing energy and for support and love for those around me who are unwell. I like asking angels to wrap their wings around people who may need an extra special hug. I ask knowing that there are times when what is happening is likely to be a part of that person's path and challenge in this life time, and the outcome may not change, especially when things are terminal. For me, doing everything I can in both person and spiritually, including praying for help from Archangel Raphael and his healing angels, to make the situation in any way less traumatic or lonely for that person is second only to being able to help them to get better. I watched my Dad disappear into himself after he was told there was nothing they could do for his cancer. He was suffering as much in his mind as in his body, desperate to be able to find a way to fight back against this dreadful enemy. I was with him as much as I could be, as were the rest of our family, and I prayed for the angels to help him. They sent a healing angel - from the local hospice - who was able to reach him enough for him to talk about his worries, things he wanted to sort out for my Mum that needed time he did not have. He came back to us before the end, courageous and funny, loving and strong. Despite not being religious, he asked for me to bring the angels into his funeral service.
